Have they made ANY improvements to the track or pits??? Fun place to race (esp. under the lights) but man is it ever rough and no place to park on EVEN ground.

I hope the project goes smoothly, and the Memorial
Weekend is the grand reopening. It may fit in my schedule. Will have to be approved by the Social Director.

Wow.... now if the track only had the room to hold a bigger car count! This is a great improvement to Grove Creek.

Hey Racers and Race Fans!

Hope this email finds you all healthy and in good Spring spirits! And hope you had a great off-season, and a moving Easter!

Spring has sprung and so has Rick!! (I think he overdosed on pickles!) As you might have heard in the ole rumor mill, IT"S TRUE - see below!!!

- - - NEWS FLASH - - -
Pickle Overdose - Rick has flipped his lid!!
Yes, it's true!! Rick has committed to a total renovation of the drag strip according to NHRA specifications! Too many pickles!

The schedule of events to take place (weather permitting):
Currently - surveying, concrete and barrier removal
1st Week April - new concrete pad pouring
2nd Week April - black top reclaiming and grading
3rd & 4th Week April - new blacktop
After Curing Time - resetting barriers, track conditioning and reinstalling timing equipment

Scheduled Grand Re-Opening date is currently set for Memorial Weekend. Please watch website for changes in early race dates. Other improvements being worked on are the expansion and upgrading of the pits and bathroom renovations.

We are very excited and are looking forward to our 2008 season as we hope you are as well! Please watch www.grovecreek.com as we will try to keep you updated with progress reports and pictures!

Interesting 'rumors' coming out of the Creek...I hope they are true!!! Perhaps some things will get cleared up at the Racer meeting tomorrow at Pleasureland RV.

Perhaps a later start to the Creek Season---but on a NEW Surface!!!
