Posted - 06/30/2008 : 08:50:24 I have been to Cordova around 10 times. You will be pitted on grass, and the little "road" down to your pit spot will be made of fine beach sand although all the main pit roads are paved. The track itself has always been good. Had my biggest win there.
From Inver Grove Heights it is always 5.5 hours including stops. Union Grove, Byron, Cordova, Eddyville are all virtually the same distance from us.
If you don't mind a dirty car, it is a good place.

Posted - 06/29/2008 : 12:38:53 Too Bad that track isn't closer. I didn't see anything about the entry fee for the one day race anywhere ? The 10.99 cut off I'm sure is to excel the pace of the race but most Super Pro classes cut off at 11.99 so I dont see any additional profits for that track with the 10.99 break. Do high dollar bracket races mostly attract dragsters and thats the logic behind it ? Not sure. I do like the fact that they have a $2500 race on the same day for people out of competition and even offer a buy back if needed. Your racing all day one way or another and what a great idea that was too offer. A local high dollar race like this would sure get my blood pumping once again. How many hours is Cordova from the Twin Cities and who's been there before ?

Posted - 06/29/2008 : 11:07:46 Tony, I couldn't agree more. Also I didn't see guaranteed pay-out anywhere so you know what that means. Who is "Top Dollar LLC". Is this a private group organizing this race or is this the track? What would be the logic for having a 10.99 ET cut off especially when it it's Box/No box combo race?

Posted - 06/29/2008 : 09:32:45 There are 2 things about that race that I don't understand:
1. Why would you put on a race like that and exclude all cars slower than 10.99?
2. Why only plan to race on Saturday? Is it worth a tow to Cordova for 1 day of racing?
