Just seen this added to West Central Division website. Looks like the big change is the two step buttons for Pro ET. Here's the link!!

http://www.nhradiv5.com/apcm/templates/divnews.asp?articleid=34388&zoneid=15

Link to the website for Two Step Button!!

Wonder if the local tracks will follow this rule?

"Settle down, Francis. The adjustable buttons have been around for years. This is making it a little more restrictive"I know they've been around awhile. The next thing ya know they won't allow neutral starts and some day will end up with a Catholic president.

Joe,

If you click on the link and pull up the PDF schedule it shows the ET Finals in Topeka.

I saw that do Joe, what a mistake that would be to go back out there for the E.T finals.
I guess they like it when nobody shows up except full teams from the colorado area. I hope somebody comes to there senses and changes it to Topeka. That's the only way they'll have close to full teams for everyone.

I hope this is a typo, but on the Division 5 schedule just posted on the D5 site the ET finals is listed as being contested at Bandimere?

Quoted from "Stripes" with Bill Murray (John Winger) and co. - Nice !
We use to use that analogy weekly back in the 80's. Havent heard it in a long time.

The name's Francis Soyer, but everybody calls me Psycho. Any of you guys call me Francis, and I'll kill you. ( 1981 )

Just stab and steer it. "That's a fact, Jack."

Settle down, Francis. The adjustable buttons have been around for years. This is making it a little more restrictive.

You can't do anything with your button that you can't do with launch RPM, tire pressure, and other methods.

The ajustable button isn't really that much of an advantage, i won't lose sleep at night over it

This is horrible news.I can't beleave that they would allow an adjustable button for this class. Its a poor mans delay box.Maybe I should be happy its only a 3 inch button.

Take that crap out'a the car and drive it.

You're kidding, right? You would think that all NHRA divisions would use the rules for the Summit Finals but that is nowhere near the case. Same with the tracks.

While we are here, automated shifters are something that has always been a gray-area in Pro. Just look in the rules link posted above. Super Pro explicitly allows them, Sportsman explicitly prohibits them, but Pro does not mention them at all.

We have never had any shifting aid in the Pro car, but I remember years ago thinking they weren't allowed locally. I do not recall a rule change regarding them but now they are in many cars.

That may be the same as 08 but I do not know of any local tracks that are looking at the buttons. Seems to me if you earn the points at a local track it should be by the same rules as at the E T Finals.

I'm pretty sure that is the same language as '08. Transbrake buttons had to be NHRA approved. Two steps have also been allowed in the past on Pro ET.
