no, when arnie fully staged jim let go of the button, hit the gas, tree started, car took off, car didnt leave right away becuase he had enough time in the box for the tree to start then he would leave

prixmo's -.0001 red sounds possible, but never heard of one before, and brandon you must have meant top bulb not stage lite or jim would have left before tree activated!!
brandonschmall Posted - 07/17/2008 : 18:33:21
No, Jim had to crossover and he was focused on Arnie's side of the tree so when Arnie's stage light came on Jim let go of the button, and before you know it the tree was on and the '66 Charger's tires were spinning. Just another way to lose a race...
Prixmo Posted - 07/17/2008 : 18:11:06
Did the car back out of the beams as the tree started?

Don't always believe what you think
brandonschmall Posted - 07/17/2008 : 17:51:27
Well then he must have left when the top bulb was on, becuase otherwise if he had left on the second or third amber Jim would have went -.4999 or less red. How could it mean Left Before Third Amber if Jim left on the top or second yellow and didnt recieve a LBTA?
Prixmo Posted - 07/17/2008 : 17:36:16
LBTA is left before third amber. If he left before tree activated he would not have has a time for the run
.000 reaction is weird. might have been .0001 red?

Don't always believe what you think

dave, LBTA,, according to Harm from Harmel Racing, LBTA stands for Left Before Tree Activated,, or wait,, does harm say win by ORL Opponent Red Lite!!
brandonschmall Posted - 07/17/2008 : 16:05:49
Im pretty sure that he might of Left Before Tree Activated
Or right as the tree starteed come down.
He lost in a very odd way, oh and he did stage in time and the tranny brake did hold.

Leave Before Third Amber

Took too long to stage or the tranny brake didn't hold.
The .000 through us off. Thanks Brandon.

I will just say that it was a red light or possibly a LBTA

Ok - I just looked at the semi final loss results and I cant seem to figure out how he lost since Ozols ran out. He must have crossed the centerline ? Am I missing something ?

I was just looking at the Rock web page on Jim's semi final loss. I will have to ask him how he did it. I haven't lost a round that way in my racing career yet.....
