Just Curious how Rock Falls runs their program. There seems like alot of classes and gamblers races there for one day, do they run at night to fit it in or do they really have their stuff together and get it all in by sundown?? how many time trials do you usually get? what type of car count do they usually get? is it somewhat like brainerd? i've never been there before but would like to make the trip once this year. any info would be great. Thanks

Kelly

Hey Davey, are they still doing the run-offs this year? I have looked around on the website a little and haven't seen it mentioned.

You may have been looking at the points program info. Go here: http://www.rockfallsraceway.com/racer.shtml

And scroll down a bit. It is almost always $750 to win the money classes. Gambler payout depends on entries. Box gambler has been getting pretty lean, $300 or so, and No-Box is $600-ish?

it's $750 to win each class pro & s/pro then they run the winner of each off for the extra $250 to the winner and $100 to the runner up.
I know cause I was Brides maid to Joey Marx last year on this.

They always finish the Race plus Gamblers and have time for fun stuff like Run for the money during time trials \. and if you lose first round you can get in the guts gamblers for $25.00

Every Saturday on bracket weekends they have test and tune and a Gamblers for testers for $35.00 then at 3:30 they run the Saturday night special.

Thanks guys, on the website it says $1000 to win S/P & Pro ET. Is there a certain amount of cars to meet that or is it always $1000?? I didn't see a breakdown.

Lets not forget an average of 20-30 street cars and 20-30 King of the hill cars. if you go out in the 1st or 2nd round there is a last chance race for money and a last chance for trophy cars, both of those have a minor payout.
you will be able to get a minimum of 5 passes.

Even though i am running for money this year, the trophy classes at the rock are a nice attraction for the not so professional guys who want to race or just see what there car will really do in the quarter-mile.

The program is run very efficiently. Time trials start at 8 and the race usually finishes by 4:30. If you want to gamble, you take one time trial with your class and then the gamblers is called to the lanes for a time trial. If you don't want to gamble you get 2 more time trials before eliminations with the non gambling money cars. 2-3 rounds of the gamblers race is run and then they stop for first round of eliminations of the regular classes. They run all of the regular classes usually until the races are completed before continuing the gamblers.

Car counts are way lower than Brainerd. There are around 20 s/pro cars, and 35 pro cars.
