Thanks to everyone who participated in the 6th Annual Mel&Joe's Horse Shoe Tournament, Winners this Year are Steve Stockton & Kenny Valeske (see picture Below),,, Runner up's were Joe Kerner & Davey Hamilton. This years Winner of our 1rst Dessert Contest was Grace Ahmann, 2nd Place was Jean Boone and we had many 3rd Places,,, Thanks Again & see you Soon. MK&JM |

In responce to post above,After our last Board Meeting, Mel & Joe have decided to make this a Dessert of any Kind Contest, so use your imagination and see what you can come up with, top 3 will be recognized. There will be 4 Judges,The smallest big eater we know,Ritchie Boone,Tony from Stroker Racing(aka Bad Boys of Rock Falls)Ron(Mel)Knott Co-Founder of Mel & Joe's Horse Shoe Tournament,& Joe Marx other Co-Founder of MJHST. And as far as I Know,No allergies for me, also I once saw Ritchie Boone eat a Porkchop @ noon on Sunday that was left from the nite before! Good Luck Everyone! MK&JM |

So just to verify.... this is a "Pie" Judging Contest not a "Dessert of any Kind" Judging Contest, correct? Also, any word on the Judges yet? Brittany is curious as to who they might be (and me too). :) Also do any of the Judges have any food allergies so we don't accidently poison them and end up having to make an emergency trip to the ER on Saturday night. LOL Just trying to cover all our bases. |

As Promised,After our Board Meeting today we have finalized our Program for The 6th Annual Mel & Joe's HorseShoe Tournament coming up on Saturday August 24th @ The Rock,, Bigger for this year we will have 4 Pits(Mel is currently working on another set of back boards,,,Better for this year we will have professional sound system furnished by Tom Giebs Garage Band and also New for this year we are having a Pie Judging Contest! So Dust off Grama's Cookbook and bring your favorite Pie to see if you can win,Top 3 Places will be awarded! we will annouce who the judges will be soon so you can start bribing them!
