NHRA & the Race Track are partners in the operations of the event at any National Event track. NHRA oversees/runs the Competition on Track and the Facility oversees/runs the Security, Facility Operations during the Event; both parties have input entire event operations. Have a Safe Race Weekend ALL.
See ya'll Sunday possibly, Flyin in from Graceland.

Posted - 08/04/2008 : 10:16:52 I might be wrong on this but here goes. I believe that NHRA assumes full responsibility for all track activities at national events. They take all control away from track managment. Track personnel are there to be of assistance only. Having said that I believe that at BIR that only applies inside the Pit area and adjacent spectator areas. That would greatly limit NHRA liability for what goes on in the Zoo. That would also mean that the new pit vehicle rule would not apply to the Zoo. To all those National event wannabes who have been able to get personal pit vehicles into the pits good luck. This is long overdue and has been seriusly abused for years. Maybe Steve Q can chime in on this and give a little better understanding about this. |

Posted - 08/03/2008 : 22:05:20 There is no way they are going to prevent campers from bringing in "auxiliary vehicles" for cruising the Zoo. If they were, they would have needed something on the BIR website long ago. They won't let them into the pit area though, and never have.

Posted - 08/03/2008 : 20:35:12 Unless your a driver of a class in competition at the event-------that would be correct! There was lots of talk this weekend in Cordova about this..................should be interesting to see how it is policed!!! Should keep BIR Security busy anyway............
