Main Entry: pleth·o·ra Pronunciation: \#712;ple-th#601;-r#601;\ Function: noun Etymology: Medieval Latin, from Greek plçthôra, literally, fullness, from plçthein to be full — more at full Date: 1541 2: excess, superfluity; also : profusion, abundance
Has this word been around since 1541 ? I sure hear it alot at the track.
