I got off of the phone with Darren a little while ago, he's in the hospital with a deteriorated carrad artery,he thought that he was going home today, probably tomorrow, they've given him some blood thinner, to help bring down the pressure so that it can heal, he also has to be careful with cuts and bruises, he's having problem with pain, the medication is making him sick. Please pray for him. thanks, Russ

Met Darren at the banquet. I will pray for him. Thanks for making the need known.

It's a terrible time with the holidays to be suffering. If anyone hears of something Darren needs, let it be known. Prayers combined with action is always a great thing.

Thank you to all!

I was already having problems the night of the banquet. It took a couple weeks of pain and 5 doctors to diagnose the dissected carotid artery. Four days in the hospital and now I am on blood thinners to allow the artery to heal itself which could take up to 6 months, amazing bodies we have here. The pain will continue as I heal and I can't take anything other than tylenol for it. I hope and pray I may continue to be a blessing to those in my company during this season as that is my deepest desire. It is good to be home now and back on-line. My e-mail and phone number is on the web site if you want to get a hold of me that way.

Special thanks to my dear friend Russ!

One more thing...

If you are having issues, pain, discomfort or whatever ... get it checked out and be persistent. After talking with many people these last few days my cousin lost a friend to this sort of thing and one of my uncles, who was going to go in on Monday, died (a few years ago) on a Saturday from ignoring the signs. Unfortunately, pain is sometimes a sign of trouble calling for help so lets get our ugly butts to the doctor guys!!!

good to here you are doing well. You are right we tend to ignore and sometimes are stubborn when we should see a doctor.
Hope you have a Blessed thanksgiving and heal fast !

I had another MRI and met with the doctor today. I am healed. Thank you God! Instead of 5 months I am healed in 5 weeks. She does want me to take an aspirin a day and I will have some nerve pain but I am OK with that. I am grateful for the many prayers these last few weeks. Thank you all for your support! I have now heard more than one story of people dying from this stuff so I am truly grateful.

Now I need to get back in shape after taking it easy for so long.
