Now be honest here. Did either of you return your 2012 MDRA Track Survey?

I filled mine out. Dont know if it made the mail box just being honest. Besides that what difference does it make? The schedule never changes.

As a past board member I can tell you that setting the schedule for all of us is probably the hardest thing to do. And espescially to try and please everybody. I do not always agree with what is decided but I support their decisions..................Lee

Clearly as a member I should just shut up. Because its not blatantly obvious as whats going on. When I joined Mdra we had more races in Minnesota. Its getting to be less and less. I wasnt complaining about the schedule just found it funny how it follows a certain group of peoples personal schedules. And now they are offended really? The only conflicting schedules was that of the board members as they dont support the tracks of the state they live in. MDRA please send me my $40.00 back and I will shut up. Scott

I agree totally, with fuel prices expected to be 4-5$ this summer not everyone can afford to tavel great distances and race. The club is supporting the neighboring states but rarely do you see them heading this way. maybe more flex weekends for the less fortunate racers.

Let's look at a couple of the bracket schedules from the past, which we can do on the website. In 2004 we had 3 races in Minnesota, in 2012 we have 3 races scheduled in Minnesota. In 2004 we had 3 races scheduled in Iowa, 2 at Cedar Falls, on different weekends, and 1 at Eddyville. So, if you wanted to go to all eight races in 2004 you had to make 3 separate trips to Iowa. Since that time we have taken advantage of the 2 day races held at Grove Creek and Cedar Falls to save our members travel expenses. In 2012 you can attend eight races with just one trip to Iowa. Remember that you don't have to go to eight points races as only your best five count for round points. In 2005 we did have 4 races in Minnesota, 1 at Grove Creek and 3 at Brainerd. It looks like the biggest trend over the years is fewer races at Brainerd and more at Rock Falls. The membership has spoken through the track surveys.
