Anyone see that huge 7000 lb. + Diesel Pick Up running in the mid 12's ? Wow ! I couldn't Believe it. I actually went and talked to the guy in staging and he said it had over 1000 horsepower. Talk about a sleeper ! Lots of black deisel smoke off the line but it was quick. Weekend Shocker for me.
I didn't see the truck run, but watching the Keith and Deanne Lundborg crew chiefing for their 16 year old daughter in the super comp final was worth the price of admission alone, not to mention they had a junior dragster in the final too. The look on Keith's face was priceless!
Hes been running our Wednesday night street legals and thought he would give this a shot. Runs like that all night on weds. gives everyone a great show!
I think he said it was his uncle's truck, obviously his rich uncle. He has over $100,000 invested in that old logging plow truck. A 6-cylinder Cummins desiel, wow. He was entered in Street Trophy and quickly learned why that wasn't going to work but he was fine with wherever he was as long as he could go racing!
I was watching "Pass Time" on the Speed channel last night and saw another diesel Pick-up. This one ran 11.57 !!!! What is going on with these diesel pick ups ? It was a stock looking Dodge 2500 with double stacked chips -whatever that means. Blew black smoke most of the way down but it was flying......UNREAL.
