| But technically it is possible to lose on a bye run, I'm not sure if you can lose on a bye if it is on a ladder, but I know people who have lost on a bye, but I also know people who had a bye on a ladder and didnt show up and they won the round... |

| You have to stage and break the beam under power to win a round! |

Nope...in the NHRA rule book it states that the ' Official Starter' can declare you the winner too......which is what happened at Grove. They were nice enough to do this in order to allow me a little time to try and replace the starter.
However, with my Chevelle it's a bit of a task with my custom headers and inner fenders. I pretty much have to unbolt the right side headers to replace the starter. And as much as we tried, we couldn't get in done in about the 10/15min we had. | So I guess that's it. The semi final results posted aren't correct. The semi final round never really happened. |

One thing I learned long ago: if you see it on the internet, it must be true.

| Just to clarify the $1000 to win.... The pro the super pro racers face off for the extra money to make it $1000. Based on the car counts of previous races, if the super pro winner loses the run-off he takes a $500 hit. At least Rock Falls gives the person who lost the run-off an additional $100. |

Actually, I said before the last NHRA Division 5 event in Earville, IA that, that was going to be my last race for the season.
Make no mistake, I will not be at BIR in 2009 except for the NHRA events.
Off to Internet Forum Rehab---see you in '09.
