unfortunately still the same high entry and low payout for brkt 3. I can see less money to win, but why the super low round money?

Travis - Payout was exactly the same for last year. I think you were fishing more last year.

I like the fact things are actually posted so there's some kind of format to follow instead of the
"fly by the seat of your pants and piss everyone off " format from before.
Whether it's web site postings or Bracket Books from the past at least you know what to expect.
Thank you !

Really???

I never made it past Rd4 last year at BIR, so I don't really know what the payout was. I was just suprised the couple time I did get a little round money I had a check the same week from BIR. Not like in years past when you would go into the next event and STILL not have gotten paid from a month before.

We added the 35.00 round payout this year to bracket 3, the rest stayed about the same, there is a discount for buying both races on a double weekend.

Jr drag will only run a single race on double weekends to get the kids as many TT as they are used to.

If the entry is the same as bracket 1 and 2 why can't the round money be the same? The payout should the SAME if the car count is the same. Even with the lower car count, there is no reason for round money not being the same. 3rd round in 1 and 2 pretty much gets your entry back, but in 3 it's not even half?

Steve,

I don't know for sure, but I believe it has to do with car count. I've never raced Bracket III, but I don't think I've ever seen 90+ cars in the class. Usually it's more like 30-40 cars. And with BIR 'bumping' the ET break up to 13.99 for Bracket II in 2008, a few more Bracket III cars can run Bracket II.

Don't feel bad---it's NO DIFFERENT than Stock/Super Stock at BIR. If we don't have 32 cars, we get $500 to win-----and we have a lot more expensive cars than Bracket III...not to mention pay $110 for an entry fee.

After airing some ideas on Stock & Super Stock at BIR at the St. Cloud MTG, still have not heard anything. We plan on having three cars at every event but the class still needs help! No reason why we can't fill the field at all the races. IF ITS DONE RIGHT!! GT/BA, GT/EA & I/SA Ya, the ST. Cloud people.

Jrs. are only going to have 5 races

Confused this is posted on your payout page:
Jr. Dragster race format for multi event weekends run
standard two day single race format.

One more Q is this the policy, I would think if this is a fact it is really going to hurt returns or if you have any questionable weather in the forcast car count would be down.....
Rainout Policy:
If rain or other occurrence halts racing before the completion of first round eliminations racers will receive 50% credit of entry fee and there will be no purse payout or points awarded. A “credit slip” must be obtained at the ticket window at the front gate, by returning your “receipt and wrist band” to be used at a future BIR event. Credit slips are valid for one calendar year.

Wow..... This is even worse than getting half your money back at the track.... Now, not only does it force you to come back to the track, but you still only get half of your money back. On the Jr. Dragster races, I think that it is a good idea to stick with the 5 races because they can be all done on Saturday and there will be more of a chance that the Sunday race will be completed on time. There is also a chance that the Saturday race for big cars may not be completed and therefore would have to be run on Sunday causing more delays.

I am confused with the direction taken by BIR. After asking the racers and receiving information how the other tracks handle a rain out it seems they are still leaning toward 50% credit in the calender year with the return of their receipt and wrist band (what wrist band).
After the weather at the MDRA car show yesterday I think this is an issue that needs to be looked at again.
